Since 1979, people in Kansas City have partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Kansas City to build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. With our help, Habitat homeowners achieve the strength, stability, and self-reliance they need to build a better life for themselves and their families.
We have grown into the largest Kansas City non profit home builder in the region, serving Wyandotte, Leavenworth, and Johnson counties in Kansas and Clay, Platte, and Jackson counties in Missouri. Through our homeownership and home preservation programs, we’ve built or renovated more than 1,200 homes and impacted the lives of thousands of families.
