Meet Brittney
When a cancer diagnosis turned her world upside down, Brittney knew owning a home would give her daughter the stability they both needed. Today, she has a healthy, supportive space of her own to heal, and a legacy of homeownership to pass down to her daughter.

Meet the Washington Family
For disabled Army veteran Justin and his wife, Autumn, a safe home for their three children was a nonnegotiable. But the cost of a new roof, HVAC system, water heater, and electrical repairs was out of reach. A partnership between Habitat KC, The Home Depot Foundation, and Johnson County Government changed that—giving the Washington family a more secure home.

From India to Palm Beach, Raj and Natalie have seen firsthand how much a home can change a person’s life. After retiring early, they decided to make housing part of their shared purpose—volunteering together to help more people find a safe and stable home.
It takes about 325 volunteers to construct a single Habitat KC home.
