Housing Matters

Nationally, access to stable housing is less assured for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) Americans. Habitat KC is working to change that.

Thank you to Netflix's Queer Eye host, Bobby Berk, for his support of Pride Build KC.

Everyone deserves a decent place to live

Habitat for Humanity of Kansas City is proud to host its first Pride Build KC. We invite members and allies of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer community to come swing a hammer and build with us in support of our vision of a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to call home.

By increasing the availability of affordable housing in Kansas City, we can alleviate the issue of poverty housing and homelessness, and increase the accessibility of housing for everyone in Kansas City – including the LGBTQ community.

No construction experience is needed to help Habitat KC build homes, community and hope. Your time and support helps Habitat KC build a better future for local families in need of safe, affordable housing.  Use the buttons below to learn more.

For every home, a homeowner.

The house constructed by Pride Build KC will become the new home of the Williams family. Click on their photo to read their story.
