Why Veterans Build Matters

Veteran housing issues remain a pressing concern, reflecting the challenges faced by those who have served our nation. Many veterans encounter difficulties in securing affordable and stable housing upon returning to civilian life, grappling with issues such as homelessness, inadequate housing conditions, and limited access to supportive services.

  • In 2024, on an average night, there were 32,882 veterans experiencing homelessness in the U.S.
  • As of 2021, nearly 1 in 6 veteran renters are severely cost burdened, spending more than 50% of their income on housing.
