When a Habitat KC homeowner receives the keys to their new home, they also receive a Happy Home Starter Kit.
These kits are filled with essential items that a homeowner might need to feel confident and cared for as they settle in. Each kit also includes a handwritten “Welcome Home” message to congratulate homeowners on reaching this significant milestone.
Whether it’s a hammer, flashlight, or all-purpose cleaner, every item sends a powerful message: You belong here, and your community is behind you.

Purchase items, have them shipped to your office or team location, and schedule a pick-up with our ReStore staff once your kits are ready.
Assemble Onsite at Habitat KC
Purchase and deliver your items to our office and take part in an engaging, hands-on learning experience while assembling kits with your group.
Get Involved
For around $100 per kit, individuals, community groups, or corporate teams can help purchase the items and assemble kits. It’s a simple, hands-on way to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Kansas City families.
