Weather Relief Assistance Program (WRAP)
We can help you save on heating and cooling costs. The Kansas City Board of Public Utilities (BPU) has partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Kansas City to help you decrease energy costs and improve the efficiency of your home.
Typical projects might include:
- Adding insulation
- Repairing windows and doors for efficiency
- Sealing air leaks
All projects are completed at no cost to the homeowner, outside of the $25 application fee.
BPU will provide participants with six CFL light bulbs when the project is complete.
To qualify, you must meet the following criteria:
• The applicant must meet the income guidelines adopted by HUD
for low/moderate households.
• The applicant must be the homeowner and occupy the residence
as their primary residence.
• The applicant must have lived in the house for at least one year.
