ReStore Director
Primary Team Leader: ReStore Vice President
FLSA Classification: Full-time, Salary, Exempt, Benefits Eligible
Location: Kansas City Metro Area (5 locations)
Direct Reports: ReStore Managers
Job Summary: The Store Director reports to the ReStore Vice President and ensures the execution of store strategy. Maintain a clean, friendly, well-assorted, and safe environment. The Store Director makes certain, all ReStores are delivering on our customer service promise via helpful and knowledgeable employees, quick and easy checkout, return policy and all other affiliate policies. Store Director may represent ReStore VP if necessary in meetings and events.
Responsibilities:
- Manage store P&Ls with store managers.
- Attain sales budget for all Restore locations.
- Achieve expense budgets and net income goals.
- Visit all ReStore locations minimally once per week.
- Evaluate receiving procedures, provide a good assortment to the customers
- Ensure premium service is in place for donors.
- Identify training needs, plan and organize for it to happen.
- Assist store manager with staffing needs.
- Ensure donated and purchase products are properly accounted for.
- Work on negative inventory reports with ReStore Managers and Asset Protection Manager.
- Work with Asset Protection Manager on all policies and procedures.
- Constantly evaluates that all store positions are necessary and the right people are in them.
- Work with volunteer manager and all activities associated with.
- Ensure stores are prepared for receiving volunteer groups.
- Work with logistics and Procurement Director on level inventory allocations.
- Work with Procurement Director on preparing physical inventories.
- Participate in the annual budget process with ReStore Vice President.
- Work closely with Procurement Director on pricing philosophy, and execution.
- Work with Marketing on branding ReStores with Habitat for Humanity of Kansas City.
- Responsible for safety and loss prevention policies, programs and compliance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills Abilities:
- Basic computer skills, fluent in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
Qualifications, Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum 3 years personnel management experience, including daily work assignments for a team of 6+ people, volunteer supervision experience favored.
- Retail experience preferred.
- Ability to build relationships through strong interpersonal relation skills.
- Skilled communicator with conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple requests in a high-pressure environment.
- Forklift certified preferred.
- Knowledge of building materials preferred
Physical Requirements Necessary to Perform This Job:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis and spend the majority of the day on foot.
- Ability to work at heights up to 30 feet
- Requires manual labor and construction duties and use of tools
- Able to carry, set, and negotiate commercial grade extension and step ladders as dictated by the building site.
- Must be able to stand for a prolonged duration, walk, climb, bend and squat.
