Receiving Coordinator II
Full-time: 40 hours per week
Primary Team Leader: Store Manager
FLSA Classification: Hourly, Non-Exempt, Benefits Eligible
Location: Overland Park / Lenexa, KS area
Direct Reports: None
Responsibilities:
- Supervises receiving staff in the receiving, processing, and stocking of store merchandise in accordance with the store manager’s work plan.
- Trains receiving staff in receiving, processing and stocking merchandise.
- Responsible to store manager for proper housekeeping and safety of the receiving area.
- Provides superior customer service to our donors and also to our retail customers in basic customer service as needed; processes all paperwork necessary to the position.
- Lead and work closely with volunteers and court-ordered community service workers; insures that the volunteer program is successful by contributing to a positive, supportive atmosphere and encouraging volunteer engagement.
- Accurate and timely processing of daily deposits and daily drawer audits
- Manage daily store operations, openings, and closings
- Efficiently and effectively handle customer service concerns in the absence of the Store Manager
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Friendly, outgoing, helpful attitude;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Maturity, responsibility and reliability to perform with minimal supervision;
- Honesty and integrity in handling retail sales revenue;
- Basic math skills with computer and cash register literacy;
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a consistent basis;
- Knowledge of building materials and home improvement a plus;
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with limited climate controls:
- Bilingual ability is helpful, but not necessary;
- 18 years or older
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Individual may be required to sit or stand as needed. The position may require walking primarily on a level surface at various times throughout the day. The individual may reach above shoulder heights or below the waist or lift as required to file documents, store materials or move materials on the job site throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques are required. Individual may be subject to intermittent moderate noise levels.
