Receiving Coordinator I

Full-time: 40 hours per week
Primary Team Leader: Store Manager
Location: Overland Park / Lenexa, KS area
Direct Reports: None

 

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and screen donations according to current policies, providing professional service to our donors.
  • Research, price, and stock inventory.
  • Maintain and help build merchandise displays.
  • Maintain a neat and organized receiving area.
  • Ensure that safety policies are in place and maintained.
  • Assist with basic facility maintenance and repair.
  • Lead and work closely with volunteers and court-ordered community service workers; encourage volunteer program success by contributing to a positive, supportive atmosphere and encouraging volunteer engagement.
  • Limited retail customer interaction and referral to customer service staff members.
  • Assist collections drivers on pickups as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Friendly, outgoing, helpful attitude;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Maturity, responsibility and reliability to perform with minimal supervision;
  • Honesty and integrity in handling retail sales revenue;
  • Basic math skills with computer and cash register literacy;
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a consistent basis;
  • Knowledge of building materials and home improvement a plus;
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with limited climate controls:
  • Bilingual ability is helpful, but not necessary;
  • 18 years or older

Individual may be required to sit or stand as needed. The position may require walking primarily on a level surface at various times throughout the day. The individual may reach above shoulder heights or below the waist or lift as required to file documents, store materials or move materials on the job site throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques are required. Individual may be subject to intermittent moderate noise levels.
