Marketing Coordinator

Job Description:

Habitat for Humanity of Kansas City is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to help Habitat KC build a brighter future for Kansas City families through affordable housing solutions. The Marketing Coordinator will work closely with the Marketing and Communications team to create and curate content engaging to our diverse audience and support our overall marketing strategy.

Job Type: 

  • Full Time
    • Time and duties split between Development and ReStore operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Habitat KC promotion, brand management and compliance
  • Research, plan and create content for Habitat KC/ReStore website, social media, blog and email campaigns with a goal of audience growth and engagement
    • Meet and interview homeowners, volunteers,community partners and Habitat KC staff to tell their stories of impact
    • Produce compelling photo and video content for digital distribution and assist in the archiving of assets
  • Manage public interaction and promotion on social media accounts using Agorapulse social media platform, Google My Business  and other relevant digital outreach
  • Join Habitat KC staff in representing Habitat KC at community functions and assist in community outreach
  • Video creation and editing to support content needs for social media 
  • Assist in data collection and reporting relevant to department needs for KPI tracking and assessment of social media strategy
  • Able to organize and maintain a social content calendar

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree preferred
  • 2 years’ experience using relevant skill sets
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly collaborative in approach; possess energy, professionalism, motivation to work independently and proactively, and a drive to achieve goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to strategically plan and carry out a comprehensive marketing and communication plan set forth by the Organization with the ability to work collaboratively
  • Excellent computer skills, specifically MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc) and ability to quickly learn new software as needed. Familiarity with Agorapulse, Canva and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus but not required
  • Passion for Habitat’s mission and goals to build a world where everyone has a decent place to call home

Physical Requirements Necessary to Perform This Job:

  • Outside meetings, presentations and construction site visits are frequently required which may include some evenings and weekends.
