KC NARI Partnered to Rehab a Historic Home in Kansas City

3023 HghlandThis year Habitat for Humanity of Kansas City and Kansas City National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) partnered to rehab a historic three story home in the Boston Heights and Mount Hope neighborhood. The home was acquired through the Kansas City Land Bank and had been sitting vacant for more than 15 years.

3023 Highland was taken down to the studs and completely remodeled from top to bottom. Thanks to the generosity of many NARI members, projects including new flooring, cabinetry, and fixtures as well as HVAC, plumbing and electrical were completed.

The house is now home to a fantastic Habitat KC homeowner, Shawana!  Shawana is excited about living in her beautiful new home not only because of the house, but the community Habitat KC is building. On her street alone there are four houses being rehabbed for Habitat KC families.

The Kansas City NARI’s 20th Annual Remodeled Homes Tour is pleased to invite you to Shawana’s open house at 3023 Highland, Kansas City, MO 64109 during tour days and hours. A tour ticket is not required to attend the open house. For the second year, Kansas City NARI is also donating a portion of the sales from their annual Remodeled Homes Tour, this year on April 29 – 30. The annual tour allows visitors into private residences from the Northland to south Johnson County and showcases work by local NARI members. Tickets for the tour are $18 if purchased on-line or $20 cash or check at any of the 24 tour locations.
