Founded on Faith
Our mission is about tearing down walls and building bridges. It is about offering hope and transforming lives. It is about serving God by serving others.
Put Faith Into Action
Habitat for Humanity of Kansas City is an ecumenical Christian ministry. Our belief is that all people should have a safe, decent place to live. We invite people of all faiths to join our mission to build and renovate simple, decent, affordable houses.
Our mission is about tearing down walls and building bridges. It is about offering hope and transforming lives. It is about serving God by serving others. Faith partners are the cornerstone of Habitat KC’s ministry to end poverty housing. From Faith Coalitions coming together to sponsor and build homes to Prayer Partners who help lift up the concerns of Habitat and the families we support; there are many ways to serve. If your congregation or faith organization is interested in finding out more about partnership opportunities with Habitat KC please use the form on this page and we’ll be happy to talk with you more!

Let's Connect
Faith Village
The Faith Village initiative brings together people from various religious faiths to build
and rehabilitate homes for low-income families. Habitat KC has three distinct efforts in our
Faith Outreach portfolio:
House of Abraham
House of Abraham is an interfaith effort of local Jewish, Christian and Muslim communities that come together each year to build a home for an area family in need of safe and affordable shelter. Composed of more than 20 congregations, House of Abraham has built seven homes for Habitat homeowners.
Mitzvah House
Mitzvah House is a collaborative effort of the Jewish community of the greater Kansas City area. Mitzvah House has built two homes in its young history and aims to build more as it continues to organize and bring together more than a dozen congregations and Jewish organizations to support this effort.
Catholic Build
Catholic Build is Habitat KC’s newest faith build effort. Currently in organizational development, Catholic Build has strong support from the Catholic Diocese of Kansas City – St. Joseph and the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas where volunteers are assembled and ready for its first build project.
