Your ReStore donations
are making a difference, one house at a time.
Just because they're called landfills doesn't mean we need to fill them up. Don't throw it away - let us put it to good use! Habitat ReStore accepts both new and used building materials and furniture that are in good, usable condition. Your TAX DEDUCTIBLE donation to ReStore helps build strength, stability, and self-reliance for area families in need of decent and affordable housing.
YOU CAN DONATE TO RESTORE...
At Habitat ReStore we accept donations of new & gently used residential building supplies and furniture that WE determine will sell in our retail stores. Using the profits from the sale of these items we then fund the building and rehabilitation of houses in our community. With a few exceptions we look for items you would find in a “Big Box” home improvement store. See the list of items we accept.
Habitat for Humanity operates five convenient locations in the Kansas City metro area that will accept your donation.
Our store donation hours are:
Monday – Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.
Area businesses can schedule a donation by emailing us at gro.c1511137127ktati1511137127bah@e1511137127tanod1511137127erots1511137127er1511137127
Neighborhoods pick-ups are scheduled through their HOAs.
We look forward to seeing you at Habitat for Humanity ReStore, the area’s low cost provider of building materials, lumber, kitchen, baths and hardware.
WHAT MATERIALS DO WE ACCEPT?
We accept donations of new and gently used residential building supplies and household furniture that we determine will sell in our retail store. With a few exceptions, we look for items that you would find in a “big box” home improvement or home furnishing store.
Read below for a general guideline for materials that we accept OR download the full PDF list below:
Materials must be reusable:
Must be made for use in (or can easily be used directly in) residential or light commercial construction, improvement, or maintenance or furnishing by the common homeowner or small business owner.
Structurally sound & complete:
Must be complete, intact, sturdy and free of major damage.
Must be able to do what it was made to do. It needs to be ready to work “off the shelf” without any repair.
The item must be appealing for reuse “as is” in another person’s home, something you’d give to friends or family.
Our trained staff must determine that the item will sell in our store.
