Last updated: March 26, 2020 at 9:30 p.m.

Our highest priority is the health and safety of our entire Habitat KC community— staff, clients, volunteers, supporters, and all our neighbors.

Therefore, starting today, March 17, Habitat KC’s administrative offices will be closed to the public and will remain closed until until further notice. Additional steps will be evaluated and communicated as necessary.

The following operations will be suspended beginning March 17:

    • All programs and services are suspended until further notice, with very few exceptions.
    • All volunteer activities will be cancelled until further notice.
    • Our main office at 1423 E Linwood, KCMO and Kansas Satellite office at 155 S 18th St., will be closed until further notice.
    • All ReStore operations, including shopping, donations and volunteering, are suspended until further notice.
    • All events will be postponed until further notice.

The following operations will continue to remain open to the public but monitored daily:

    • Home Ownership, HOPE and Home Preservation Program related questions will be answered via telephone and email.

As part of the Habitat KC family, you understand the power of community action. Thank you for your continued support during this time and for playing your part in promoting the well-being of our entire community.

Many of our homeowners are in positions at the forefront of the crisis, including health care workers, civil servants, service sector employees; those to whom a missed paycheck can mean catastrophe. If you were planning on volunteering, shopping at a ReStore, or supporting Habitat in the coming weeks, we strongly encourage you to support our mission through an online donation today.
