The first week of December Habitat for Humanity Kansas City was blessed with an early Christmas donation from the Johnson family. Gregory Johnson stopped by our Johnson County ReStore on Santa Fe to donate his 2013 Toyota Corolla. He and his wife had purchased a new Jeep and in the true spirit of giving donated their old car to Habitat KC. Gregory, an employee of FedEx also served our country in the military and continues to live in the same Kansas City, KS house he grew up in since he was 5 years old.
“I truly experienced the meaning of Christmas that day when Gregory signed over his title,” said David Krumholtz, VP of ReStore Kansas City. It also moved the notary to hear how he wanted to help serve our Habitat families.
Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Johnson and may you and your family enjoy the blessings of the season.
There is still time to donate to Habitat Kansas City or our ReStore and receive a deduction on your 2017 taxes. Our 2017 Annual Report is now available on-line. Help us build homes, communities and hope!
