Procurement Director

Job Summary

The Procurement Director will develop the protocol that outlines how the affiliate purchases goods and services. The Procurement Director will develop strategy relating to all procurement to ensure that purchasing is managed consistently throughout the organization resulting in the execution of an approved budget. The Procurement Director will be knowledgeable in supply chain management and all the attributes that go into supply management. We are looking for someone who can institute innovative strategy that will save the affiliate money.


  • Develop and execute new and improved procurement strategies across all lines of our businesses.
  • Ensure that affiliate Procurement policies are adhered to and executed effectively.
  • Evaluate and enhance affiliate operations in local spend, while researching and prospecting new suppliers
  • Procure in kind donations along with purchase balancing the two when awarding potential contracts
  • Maintain contracts with our Terms and conditions improving cash flow with improved terms.
  • Develop Economic order quantities, Forecasting and Replenishment strategies across all departments.
  • Perform cost analysis and build an RFP/RFQ process.
  • Build process and strategy that mitigates risk.
  • Negotiate all purchases in the best interest of the affiliate, with emphasis on the impact to the affiliate strategic plan
  • Develop supplier partner relationships that align with the overall Strategic Plan.  Understand the relationships may go beyond lowest cost.  Work with leadership to help maintain and develop donor development strategies with supplier partners.
  • Manage all aspects of the supply chain (SCM), notifying senior management of possible obstacles to ideal efficiency.
  • Have a good understanding of Collaborative Planning Forecasting and Replenishment (CPFR).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Education and Experience

  • Business degree or equivalent
  • 5 years of procurement experience
  • Home Improvement / Construction a plus
  • Excellent managerial and training skills
