HYP (Habitat Young Professionals); the purpose of this group is to raise awareness and funds for Habitat for Humanity Kansas City. HYP strives to make a tangible contribution to the goal of ending the cycle of poverty housing in Kansas City by building a community of active and engaged young professionals with a shared commitment to making a difference, one house at a time.

FAQs

What is HYP KC? Habitat Young Professionals of Kansas City is a philanthropic and networking group of young professionals committed to making a difference in Kansas City’s urban core through volunteering, fundraising and spreading the word about Habitat KC. HYP KC engages young professionals through networking and happy hours, monthly volunteer days on site, fundraisers and social events. This is a group for people who are looking to get involved in their community, make the world better, have some fun and make new friends all at the same time.

Membership with HYP KC: If you choose to become a member, you’ll receive discounts on event cover charges, a Habitat for Humanity Kansas City t-shirt, get preference for volunteer opportunities and get invited to members-only events. Dues are $100 a year (lump sum) or $10 a month automatically charged to a credit card. Know that when you become a member, you are helping HYP KC raise money to sponsor a home build for a deserving family.
